Enhanced Movement with Peg Integration

Peg IntegrationAt Ocular Prosthetics, we have extensive experience in providing the peg placement procedure for Hydroxyapatite and Med-Por implants. These are porous implants which can receive a peg or magnetic attachment which integrates with the prosthetic eye. This procedure greatly enhances the movement to your artificial eye.

Peg integration requires a minor surgical procedure in which the Ophthalmologist creates a small hole and inserts a titanium screw in the front of the implant. The remaining procedure attaching the peg to the Prosthesis is performed by our Ocularists.

Our Ocularists are available to provide a complete evaluation and consultation regarding the advantages and disadvantages of Peg integration. Their experience includes every available peg attachment system.

Also, our team approach will assure close communication with your Ophthalmologist or Oculoplastic surgeon. This will provide you with the confidence and comfort you deserve to have in allowing us to serve your prosthetic eye needs.
