The Many Services Offered by Ocular Prosthetics

Our highly specialized team of Ocularists design, fabricate and fit prosthetic eyes(artificial eyes) for individuals who had their eye removed or eviscerated. We are also experts in fitting scleral cover shells. This custom fit shell is an excellent means for restoring cosmetics for people who had injuries or multiple retina surgeries that resulted in a disfigured or discolored blind eye.

With extensive pediatric experience we also create ocular prostheses for infants and children. This includes custom fitting for eye loss due to Retinoblastoma, congenital microphthalmia or any congenital anomaly that indicates the need for a prosthetic eye. With innovative and proven designs we have performed successful conformer therapy on the most severe cases of congenital anophthalmia/ microphthalmia and have tracked our progress for decades.

Our Anaplastologist and Restorative Prosthetic Clinician are experts in providing custom molded silicone facial restorations for areas of the face including the orbit, mid-face, nose and ear.

In the event of a traumatic injury, cancer resection, or congenital condition such as microtia, an alternative to surgery is a prosthetic silicone restoration.

Our specialists will custom fit, sculpt, paint and dispense the most beautiful medical grade silicone prosthesis that replicates the missing part of ones face. The prosthesis is held on by skin adhesives or attached through osseointegrated implants. It is worn daily and removed at night.

Our Ocularists and Anaplastologists invite you to schedule a personal consultation at our office which will provide the opportunity for us to become acquainted and you the chance to ask questions about our service.
