|
Stephen, the director of Ocular Prosthetics, is a Board Certified Ocularist since 1991. In 1979, Stephen
graduated from Massachusetts’s Worcester Technical Institute in the field of Ophthalmic Optics.

After graduating in 1979, Stephen began his training at the American Optical Prosthetic Eye Center in
Southbridge, Massachusetts. By 1986, Stephen established his leadership at the Center and became the director
until taking his director position at Ocular Prosthetics.

Stephen was chosen by Robert Levy to lead Ocular Prosthetics. Stephen has led the practice since 1991. He
was chosen for his excellent technical and artistic abilities. His technical abilities include his expert
fitting experience that covers all available techniques to fit prosthetic eyes and scleral cover shells.
Stephen also has extensive Pediatric experience in fitting infants, children and adults. This includes patients
with peg attachments and new magnetic implants. Stephen uses his artistic abilities when using the Transparent
Beveled Iris Technique which replicates the depth and color of a “natural” eye. He also uses his expertise to
make use of Cosmetic Optics to enhance each patient’s appearance.

Stephen is active in his field and is recognized by others. He is a member of the American Society of Ocularist
and actively participates by lecturing and attending meetings. He has been recognized by CNN and other News
agencies for his exceptional work in creating the most “lifelike” prosthetic eyes.
