Stephen Haddad, BCO
Stephen Haddad BCO, the director of Ocular Prosthetics graduated from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute and completed his training at the American Optical Prosthetic Center in Southbridge , Massachusetts. He established his leadership at the Center and was director until taking his new position at Ocular Prosthetics in Los Angeles. He became a Board Certified Ocularist in 1991.
Stephen Haddad BCO was chosen to be Director of Ocular Prosthetics for his excellent technical and artistic abilities. He continually refines the process of creating the most advanced artificial eyes available. His technical abilities cover all available techniques to fabricate and fit prosthetic eyes and scleral cover shells. He was featured on FOX News and Dr. 90210 for his work as an Ocularist with complex cases.
His experience includes fitting every available implant, including motility peg attachments that result in the most natural artificial eye movement. Stephen uses a unique Transparent Beveled Iris Technique which replicates the depth and color of a "natural" eye. His expertise also includes the use of Cosmetic Optics to enhance each patient's appearance.
With extensive pediatric experience Stephen was featured on CNN News for his fitting of a 9 day old baby boy.
Stephen is active in his field and participates in training new Ocularists. He is a Board Approved Diplomate Member of the American Society of Ocularists and actively participates in lecturing and attending meetings. He is internationally known for his exceptional work in creating the most "lifelike" artificial eyes.
